The society met for the first time in June of 2000 with the goal to record the history of Paradise and surrounding communities, to distribute historical data, to complete work on the city’s Veterans Park and to establish a Paradise museum.
The society meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November at the Paradise First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Oak St.
The society sponsors the annual Main Street Festival in the fall, with proceeds benefiting the Veterans Park.
Dues are $10 per person, per year.
