  • Wise County Park (on Lake Bridgeport), 372 CR 1638, Chico, offers rough camping ($5 per tent per night); RV hookups ($20 a night), boat storage ($50 a month), sewage dump ($5 per use), small pavilions ($20 a day, up to two tents), and a large pavilion ($50 a day)
  • South Wise Park in Newark on Eagle Mountain Lake (day use park)

ALVORD

  • Elm Creek Park, 1078 E. Business 81/287; has a tennis court, pavilion, concession stand, baseball fields and a playground
  • Veteran’s Park

BOYD

  • Yellow Jacket Park, North Evans, has a basketball court, play fort and playground
  • James Snodgrass Park, West Hobbs, has a playground and soccer fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball, walking trail and a pavilion

BRIDGEPORT

  • Harwood City Park, 707 Hovey St., has two playgrounds, 10 picnic tables, a pavilion, a walking trail, horseshoe pits, restrooms, a swimming pool and an open play area
  • Payne Park, 409 W. Cates St.; has a covered skate park, picnic tables, playground equipment, basketball court, open play area and restrooms
  • Northwest OHV Park, north of town off Texas 101, has an ATV park and hiking trail

CHICO

  • M. Robinson Park, on the corner of West Sherman and Buffalo Street, includes a play area for kids, a gazebo, skate park and a basketball court
  • Jewel Park, baseball fields

DECATUR

  • Kenny Renshaw Park, Farm Road 51 South, has softball and soccer fields, playground and covered pavilion
  • Harmon Park, Miller Street, has a skateboard park, two baseball fields and a playground
  • Melba Doyle Park; Old Chico Road and U.S. 380, has trees, picnic tables and swings
  • Hollis and Sue Jones Park; Farm Road 730 and Country Club Road, has baseball fields, a soccer field, basketball court and playground
  • Lou Ida “Big Mama” Willis Park; Corner of North Arthur and Brown streets, has a playground, sand box, swing set and picnic tables
  • Veterans Park; Corner of Ash and Trinity streets, “Path of Sacrifice and Valor” commemorating American conflicts

NEWARK

  • Delora Doughty Royal Park, across from the Newark Fire Station on 406 Hudson, has a gazebo, grill and a picnic table

PARADISE

  • Leone Park, Texas 114; has four baseball fields
  • Soccer field on Pecan Street
  • Veteran’s Park on Main Street

RHOME

  • Veteran’s Park, corner of Virginia Lane and Second Street

RUNAWAY BAY

  • Cricket Ridge Park, Runaway Bay Drive, next to the Norma Coble Civic Center
  • The Park at Runaway Bay, Blue Bird Lane, has a walking trail, playground, picnic areas and a swimming pool
